Lighting Equipment

With their vast experience Viv and Avril know just how difficult it can be to travel with the necessary equipment for a shoot. With this in mind the house also boasts a wide range of professional video / photographic lighting and grip equipment; from Arri HMI Tungstens to Broncolor remote flash units.

Purpose Built Villa

This house has been built from the ground up specifically as a studio.

With over 25 years of experience in the photographic / filming industry Viv & Avril Thomas have travelled extensively, using a variety of locations in a number of countries around the world.

No one location has ever proved to be perfectly suited to location shooting. Houses/homes are never built with location shooting in mind and filming as an alternative and always fall short in one way or another.

With this in mind Viv decided to build his dream home, but at the same time ensuring that every aspect of photography/filming be taken
into account where ever possible. The house has been furnished by Avril to ensure that there is a wide variety of options for props, at the same time maintaining extremely high standards in decor. Avril has used a unique blend of old traditional Portuguese fixtures and fittings mixed with modern contempory furniture.
